William ""Bill"" Emerson age 83 passed away Sunday April 18, 2010 in Kingsland at his residence. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Wednesday April 21, 2010 in the Cochran Funeral Home Onalaska Chapel, with Bro. Dennis Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Bill was born March 19, 1927 in Hartsburg to parents Robert Alfred Emerson Sr. and Gertrude Brown Emerson. He proudly served our country during WWII in the Untied States Navy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Pearl Ruth Emerson, son George Emerson, brother Kenneth Emerson, and sisters Marie and Dolly Ruth.

He is survived by his son James Emerson and wife Wanda of Durant, Oklahoma, daughter Belinda Gibson of Kingsland, and daughter in law Linda Emerson of Onalaska, brothers Bob Emerson of Livingston, and Jimmy Emerson and wife Anita of Cooper. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and close friends also survive him.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Lee Kelley, Christopher Lee Kelley, Joe Daryl Emmerson, Danny Ecke, Ryne Gibson, and Emmanuel Biaz.
