Services for William Henry "Charles" Payne, 92, of Navasota, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2023 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas and will be officiated by Jeff Pearce and Bill Pearce. Interment will follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas.

Charles was born November 26, 1930 in Houston, Texas and passed away July 20, 2023 in Navasota, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. Payne and Doris (Fahrenthold) Payne; sisters, Beverly Schurman and Dolores Platt; and brothers, William H. Payne and Roberte Payne.

He is survived by his wife; Ann R. Payne of Navasota, Texas; daughter, Lori Payne Brauchle and husband Kenneth of Navasota, Texas; grandsons, Jeffrey Payne Pearce and wife Danielle of Cypress, Texas, and William Robert Pearce and wife Katie of Houston, Texas; great grandsons, Britton Pearce and Drake Pearce; great granddaughters, Ava Adkins, Olivia Pearce, and Kourtney Pearce; brothers, Richard Payne and wife Sue of Alabama, and Carl Payne of Dayton, Texas; and sister, Debbie Davis of Houston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
