Funeral services for William Roy Medley Jr., 76, of Shepherd, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Chris Borden officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Chester County, Tennessee.

Mr. Medley was born February 9, 1942 in Montezuma, Tennessee to parents, William Roy Medley Sr. and Ovie Calvin (Tucker) Medley and passed away May 6, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Dorothy Ruth Medley.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melaney and Patrick Strickland of Shepherd, Texas; grandson and wife, Thomas and Sunshine Strickland of Shepherd, Texas; grandson, Taylor Strickland of Houston, Texas; grandson and wife, Trent and Savannah Strickland of Shepherd, Texas; great grandson, Tyler Strickland of Shepherd, Texas; great granddaughter, Sadie Strickland of Shepherd, Texas; brother, Bart Alan Medley of Houston; and numerous other relatives and friends.
