Funeral services for William Ray Nelson, 81, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with William Glass officiating. Interment will follow at the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Nelson was born January 30, 1942, in Livingston, Texas and passed away January 14, 2024 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dewey Nelson and Ruby Mae (Templeton) Nelson; brothers, Sam Nelson, Gene Nelson, and Autry Nelson; and sister, Alice Baxley.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Marie Nelson of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Lisa Leggett and husband Melvin of Goodrich, Texas; son, William "Bubba" Nelson Jr. and wife Kelly of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Teresa Munson and husband Gerald of Livingston, Texas; sister, Margaret Phillips and husband David of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Timothy Leggett, Coby and Amy Leggett, Jered and Sarah Munson, Joshua and Katie Munson, Ryan and Jordy Nelson, Ashley and Shawn Card; great grandchildren, Lauren Leggett, Grayson Leggett, Dixie Munson, Taylynn Munson, Landon Leggett, Sawyer Munson, Hoss Card, Karlie Card, Everly Nelson, and Jacob Leggett; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
