Funeral services for William "Sonny" Shankles, 72, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Shankles was born December 23, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to parents, Alvin Shankles and Willie B. (Johnson) Shankles, and passed away April 10, 2021 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Phillips; and brother-in-law, Dicky Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Shankles; son, Lee Shankles; daughter, Kimberly Shankles; and nephew, Thomas Phillips and wife, Liz; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
