Funeral services for William "Bill" Wheelis, 77, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Family Life Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Doug McManus officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 starting at 10:00 a.m. until the service begins, in the Family Life Church in Livingston, Texas.

William "Bill" Wheelis was born October 8, 1939 in Moorehouse, Missouri to parents, Clyde Wheelis and Ester (Bishop) Wheelis, and went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2017 in Conroe, Texas. He was a great man who will be dearly missed. He enjoyed fishing, family, and friends, but his true passion was serving our Heavenly Father. If you ever needed advice, he was the one to go to. He loved preaching the gospel and was truly a gem in God's eyes. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wheelis in Onalaska, Texas; son, Glen Wheelis and Crystal of Florida; daughter, Melanie Green of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Cyndi Walker and Steve of Beaumont, Texas; daughter, Sherry Wheelis of North Dakota; grandchildren, James and Michelle Young, Brandon Green, Kristi and Andrew Norman, Cody Green, Spencer Wheelis, Denise Wheelis, Katy Wheelis, Joshua Patrick, Megan Patrick and Christopher Patrick; brothers, Hershel Wheelis, Jack Wheelis, and Dale Wheelis; sisters, Ann Wheelis, Sue Wheelis, and Sandra Wheelis; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
