Graveside services for Willie Delton Baxter, 99, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Sena Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Willie was born February 5, 1927, in Livingston, Texas to parents Sam Marion and Octavia (Murphy) Baxter and passed away October 2, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by parents; son, Bruce Delton Baxter; brothers, Eddie Baxter, Allen Baxter, and Bethel Baxter; sisters, Gertrude Hall, Bertie Jones, Myrtle Purvis and Sudie Bailey. Mr. Baxter joined the Navy and proudly served his country during World War II as Seaman 1st Class from 1945 – 1947.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Teel) Baxter; son and daughter-in-law, Keith Baxter and Rosalinda; grandsons, Gregory Baxter Jr. and Sara, Cody Baxter and Lois; granddaughter, Valerie Spears and Justin; grandsons, John Carlo Eguia and Taylor, and Kenneth Baxter; great-grandchildren, Julianna Spears, Vanessa Spears, Chandler Eguia and Alex Eguia; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
