Obit for Willie Corene Byrd
Funeral Services for Willie Corene Byrd, age 86, of Livingston, TX will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at Union Springs Church in Corrigan, TX. Interment will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan. Rev. Lynnwood Dykes will conduct the services. Pallbearers are Ryan Byrd, Mike Sullivan, Bryant Martinez, Chad Sellars, Larry Burris and Mike Hawk.
Willie was born in the Mt. Rose community on September 17, 1925, to parents, James Apson and Delia Dykes Kelley, who have preceded her in death. She married Milam Lee Byrd on September 6, 1943 in Livingston. Milam also has preceded her in death. Willie was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived two sons, Larry Byrd of McKinney, TX and Lane Byrd of Livingston; two daughters, Barbara Sullivan of Pearland and Connie Conroy of Humble; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Martha Murphy of Corrigan and numerous nieces and nephews.
