Funeral services for Willie Daniel Nelson, 80, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Pine Forest Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Larry Shine officiating. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 beginning 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Mr. Nelson was born March 15, 1935 in Bexar County, Texas, to parents, John Willie Nelson and John Beatrice (Rhodes) Nelson, and passed away March 4, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Nelson of Onalaska, Texas; son, Kenneth Daniel Nelson of Magnolia, Texas; daughter, Cathi Lynne Nelson of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Nelson and Daniel Nelson; four great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Haley of Wimberly, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Bob Stutts, Roland Spivey, Kenneth Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Daniel Nelson, David LaBoyd.
