Elma Clamon age 97 of Corrigan passed away Monday September 21, 2009 in Corrigan. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Thursday September 24, 2009 in Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Feagin Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday September 23, 2009 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Elma was born August 21, 1912 in Barnes, Texas to parents Jacob Floyd Martin and Sara Elizabeth Lamb Martin. She worked for many years in the School Lunch Room in the Chester ISD. Elma was a long time member of the Caney Creek Baptist Church in Chester.She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lec Clamon and 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by her children Marilyn Handley of Barnes, Sandra K. Rozier of Willis, Carolyn Seamans Parker of Corrigan, Becky Jackson of Ackworth, Ga., and Thomas (Toby) Clamon of Palestine. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Les Handley, Bill Handley, David Handley, Gene Hamon, Hartzog Clamon, Lec Clamon, Randy Seamans, Russell Jackson, and C.J. Drew.
