Funeral services for Shirlene Walters Dubose, 87, of Livingston, Texas will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Ennis Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at the Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Shirlene was born May 19, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas and passed away on January 8, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tillman Luther and Ada Parker Luther; husband William Walters; sons, James Alvin Walters, Charles David Walters and William Timothy Walters; brother, Charles Luther; sisters, Carolyn Teal and Margie Bass.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hopson; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Garner and John; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle Luther and Jessie, Jim Luther and Laura; sister; Linda Campbell; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn McCellan and Charlie; special niece, Anitia Haggard; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Shirlene will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers: Shon Garner, Jason Garner, Matthew Garner, Jerry Haggard, Ryan Tope and Kyle Tope.
